While the working class typically yearns for days off to spend at home, the practice of social distancing and self-isolation during this coronavirus crisis is proving to be too much for some people to handle. For those running out of things to occupy themselves with, here's an idea: as their contribution to the coronavirus pandemic, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is offering The Sims 4 for just $5, as part of the company's annual spring sale.
The Sims 4 is a life simulator that allows players to create families, build homes, form communities, and interact with other sims for a customized experience. Some players live out their dreams through their sims, while other people feed their curiosities and test out scenarios they wouldn't be able to experience in real life.
If there is one thing you can count on with this game, it's that you'll definitely pass the time with it. It can be addicting to live out virtual lives that are exempt from real-world suffering and consequences. The Sims 4 is the fourth and latest installment in the game's series, and it remains to be popular among PC gamers since its official release in 2014.
The regular price of The Sims 4 is $40, so the current sale offering is quite the steal. In addition to the base game, you can also purchase expansion packs for $15 to $20 each, which will expand your universe with unique content and special features. Some expansion packs that are available include City Living, Discover University, Get Famous, and Island Living.
Those who are interested in purchasing the game but would rather stay indoors can do so directly through EA or through Amazon and Origin. Players will require a computer or laptop with the appropriate specifications to run the game.
